Process                                                                  back

Using fits well with an iterative and collaborative requirements definition process. Once the model is agreed, it forms the basis for subsequent development.

You can start quickly and iterate
The starting point is an initial requirements definition or system scope document
Building a first-cut model normally takes less than a week
The model is then elaborated, tested and reviewed iteratively

The process does not require massive investment
Typically, a core team of 1 to 3 people work on model execution
The core team works with key users to build and validate the model
Model building is quick, as no user interface or database programming is needed

There is no "lock-in"
Once agreed, the model forms the basis for detailed design and build
Any tool, technology or platform can be used for the design and build
There is no dependency on, or lock-in to, the model execution software
